4 ways to be a successful 5th grade student
1. Come to school prepared every day.
· homework, materials, supplies, text books, library books
2. Complete classwork and homework on time.
3. Participate in class and ask for help when needed.
4. Do your best to work cooperatively with students, teachers and staff.
Consequences
Because every student and situation is different, consequences may vary. The consequence will be determined by the teacher(s) on an individual basis.
1st offense - 1 point will be deducted from the conduct folder
2nd offense - 1 point will be deducted from the conduct folder and student will call or write note home to notify parent of after school detention
3rd offense - 1 point will be deducted from the conduct folder and conference with student and parent and after school detention
4th offense - 1 point will be deducted from the conduct folder and administration intervention (student referral, conference with administration)
Rewards
Students who follow the success rules will earn verbal or written praise and other special perks to be
determined by their teacher(s) and/or the administration.
ex. free time, BYOD time, stickers, etc.
